Bob devotes a substantial portion of his practice to civil, business, construction and real estate related litigation in both state and federal courts all over Ohio. He also regularly counsels and advises individuals and businesses in real estate, construction and business matters. He regularly represents clients in complex business, construction and litigation matters, including, but not limited to, contract disputes, wrongful death and severe injury cases, shareholder disputes, business acquisition issues, construction delay claims and commercial and construction disputes. He has successfully represented clients in numerous jury trials and has resolved multi-million dollar cases, including obtaining a verdict of $7.2 million dollars in a wrongful death case and also gaining other clients $3.7 million and $2 million in other wrongful death cases.

Bob has been recognized with the honor of being named a “Super Lawyer” by Ohio Lawyers’ Magazine, a distinction given to the top 5% of attorneys in the state of Ohio. Additionally, the same magazine also recognized Bob as one of 14 attorneys in the entire state of Ohio (and the only one in Stark County) as being the top attorneys focusing on Construction Litigation.

An honors graduate of Youngstown State University, Bob was recognized as its Outstanding Graduate in Economics. He went on to graduate in the top 5% of his class from Stetson University College of Law, St. Petersburg, Florida, where he was a Dana Law Scholar.

Bob is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and has served as a member of the Litigation and Construction Law Committees. He has also lectured and authored materials on mechanics’ liens, construction law, and real estate issues.

Bob is active in several civic and charitable organizations and currently serves as a member of the Plain Township Board of Zoning Appeals as well as Past President of the Board of Directors for CommQuest Services, Inc., one of Ohio’s 10 largest behavioral health agencies providing housing, mental health and employment counseling, emergency assistance, adoption services and meal services to those individuals in dire need of assistance in Stark and surrounding counties.

He has also served as Mock Trial Coach for the St. Thomas Aquinas High School Mock Trial Team and as past chairman of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Festival Entertainment Committee.

He currently serves as legal counsel to the Building Industry Association of Stark County (“BIA”) where he is a member of its Board of Trustees, Executive and Finance Committee, and is Chairman of its Complaint and Conciliation Committee. He has been recognized twice as BIA Associate of the Year and has received its prestigious Distinguished Service Award.

Bob is a graduate of Leadership Stark County, where he has also served as a member of its Board of Trustees. Born in Youngstown, Ohio, Bob lives in North Canton with his wife, Demetria and their daughter, Sienna. He has three other children, Kristin, an associate attorney with Soles Law, Rob, an associate attorney with Soles Law, and Dylan, business development associate with Meritech, Inc., as well as realtor with Howard Hanna in Canton.
